Hi! My name's Tiki. I don't have a last name, or parents, and I don't really know how old I am, Sarah says around twelve, but It sure feels like I've been around a lot longer than that. I should really find out some day. I don't know how I'll do that though. Actually, I don't know much about my past, but I don't really care. I'll probably find out someday, and if I don't, it won't matter too much, unless a murderer comes up to me and is all like "I'll kill you if you don't tell my your birthday and your parents names" Hmm....maybe I should find out, just in case.
I live in a spaceship most of the time. It's called the S.S. Spaceship, and I've been there as long as I can remember. I'm a pilot. At least I like to think so. Sarah, the captain, never ever lets me fly. Could have something to do with the fact that the first time I did I hit a galaxy patrol ship. Sarah went to prison for 30 days. I thought it was funny, she didn't.
My favorite food is Alphaghetti, and my favorite beverage is cream soda. I'm not afraid of anything, except for the fact that Sarah's always threatening to send me away to school. I'm worried about murderers, but not scared of them. You never do know when a murderer's going to sneak onto your ship and kill you in your sleep. That's why I sleep in the last room at the hallway. I figure if a murder's going to come, he'll start at the first room, it's more convenient, and work his way down. I'll have time to escape. Once, when Wrue, our first mate and navigator was particularly mad at me (she's always mad at me, but sometimes more than others) , she put up a sign that said, "Murderers: Go kill Tiki. She's in the last room at the end of the hallway" I don't know why she bothered telling them which room was mine. It's got my name scribbled all over it. Just in case someone tries to steal it. I'd never allow that.
Our crew doesn't really have a mission or anything like that. The S.S. Spaceship is Sarah's ‘baby', and she's never going to leave it. And of course she needs a crew to help her maintain it. Just the basics: navigator, pilot, you know, stuff like that. Plus she needs people like Wrue around to keep her company (they're her best friends) and me to keep things interesting. Sometimes we end up taking rescue missions, and things like that. I've lost count of all the slaves we've liberated, and corrupt kings we've overthrown. Sarah does these things out of the goodness of her heart, we never get reward money, but that's okay, we don't really need it. We get by well enough.
Being in the right place at the right time is not a strange concept to us. We just happen to be there when things happen...
It's a ship without a cause.
